Riley was a bundle of energy and a whirlwind of motion while playing in the backyard last night.
Running and jumping this way…

Then that way…..

Then this way again……

Then chasing a bee….

Till finally, he just needed to catch his breath (and stick out his tongue).

He is so fun to watch as he entertains himself.
Lots has happened in the world of my garden since my last update. Many of the seeds we planted have really started to take off. Maybe, just maybe, we will have a harvest after all.
The potatoes are growing quickly. I must admit I am not sure what to do next about these. I need to research more as I an pretty sure I remember reading about a step I must take when they start to look like bushes.

The peas came out of nowhere and are really doing well.

The Broccoli is also doing very well. Hope so, John loves Broccoli so it would be nice if we get a good batch to freeze.

The green beans also decided to sprout sometime in the last few days (those are potatoes behind the sprout):

and there are signs that the lettuce may grow after all

And finally the corn. I really hope the corn grows, I don’t care if only one stalk takes off and we only get 2 ears of corn. I just want to say I grew and ate my own freshly grown corn on the cob LOL

Up next the fruits…
